The links are made from
seamless aircraft aluminum tubing, making the Z Brace™ strong and light.
Going seamless eliminates stress constrictions within the tube, which
basically means eliminating points of failure.
The top bracket bolts
to the top cross member through two factory holes, providing reinforcement
and the final mounting position for the triangulating link. The second
link makes the body structure extremely stiff by eliminating rhombusing*.
*Rhombusing occurs when the
rectangular chassis structure deforms during load resembling a rhombus.
Below illustrates how the chassis will change under load, form cornering or
from a launch, with and without a triangulating link.
