GT Strut Tower Brace

Our engineers developed a strut tower brace made from an aircraft aluminum alloy that makes your chassis stiff without adding unneeded weight.  Our strut tower brace is three times lighter than a conventional brace weighing in at 1.6lbs (26.3oz).

The handling benefits of strut tower braces are enormous and until now the additional performance was worth the additional weight.  You no longer have to compromise! 

Additional weight decreases acceleration, increases stopping distance, and hurts handling characteristics.  The engineers at Strange Development know that every ounce counts especially when it comes to racing.

V6 Strut Tower Brace

Our engineers developed a strut tower brace designed specifically to provide clearance to the taller V6 intake manifold.  Like the GT version, the brace is made from the same aircraft aluminum alloy, making your chassis stiff without adding unneeded weight. 

 

Coupe Shock Tower Z Brace™

We engineered a rear shock tower brace, the Z Brace™, that is more effective than traditional braces.  The Z Brace triangulates the back structure linking the shock towers to the top trunk cross member. 

The Z Brace's links are made from an aircraft aluminum alloy that makes your chassis stiff without adding unneeded weight.  High strength steel brackets are used to mount the light weight links to the chassis.

Shock tower bracing is extremely critical for both road and drag racing.  It is important to keep the chassis at the rear wheels stiff so the tires can stay firmly planted, either through a corner or during a launch.

Front Control Arm Bushings

Strange development's engineers developed a nylon bushing that would eliminate unwanted bushing deflection.  MDS filled nylon 6/6 was the material of choice since it can take more load than delrin and will provide a maintenance free operation.  MDS (Molybdenum Disulfide) is similar to graphite and is self lubricating.  Each MDS filled bushing rides on a 316 stainless steel inner race.  This bushing is truly innovative since it provides the rigidity superior to urethane or delrin and doesn’t require the maintenance.  Bushings will increase noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) and are therefore only recommended for performance vehicles and for the performance oriented driver.
